Wild morels is the mushroom of Spring season, isn't it? I bought mine from Costco (these mushrooms are seasonal and not always available) while braving the cold produce room where I usually get my box of organic baby spinach.

Adopting a similar approach as this Stir-Fry Maitake Mushrooms and Maitake Mushrooms with Garlic, less is more and simple is best. So goes the morels in a pan, followed by some shallots/onions, garlic and finished off with some butter. That's it. So easy, delicious, earthy and full of umami goodness.
